Why Omens Are Reversed for Women — What the Texts and Tradition Say
Brihat Samhita says all omens are read in reverse for women — which is why right-side twitching is lucky for men and left-side for women.
Brihat Samhita (52.9) applies the same right-for-men, left-for-women rule to body marks.
It is a rule of tradition, not a ranking of anyone.
This rule is the basis of the male–female difference.
