Lizard Chirping Sound — What the Texts and Tradition Say
According to Brihat Samhita, a house lizard's chirp is judged by its direction — from a calm direction it is lucky, from a 'blazing' one it asks for care.
The Samhita says direction rules given for birds apply to the lizard's sound too.
The direction where the Sun stands is 'blazing'; five others are 'calm'.
