Mole on the Left Side in Women — What Samudrika Shastra Says
Per Brihat Samhita, moles on a woman's left side are auspicious; Samudrika adds that left-side moles on the cheek, lip, hand, ear and neck bring joy.
For men the same rule applies to the right side.
Samudrika also calls a reddish mark on the left cheek lucky.
Brihat Samhita (52.9) says marks on a man's right side and a woman's left side are more auspicious; on the opposite side the effect is milder.

Frequently asked questions
Is this rule different for men and women?
Brihat Samhita (52.9) says marks on a man's right side and a woman's left side are more auspicious; on the opposite side the effect is milder.
Can the effect of a mole change?
Yes — Samudrika Shastra says good conduct outweighs every bodily mark; a person of good character is considered fortunate even with few good marks.
Should an 'unlucky' mole be removed?
There is no need to remove a mole for astrological reasons. If it changes in size, colour or border, bleeds or itches, see a dermatologist.
